President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and other relevant intelligence agencies to intensify efforts to track down those responsible for the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Tinubu ordered security agencies to step up operations in the affected communities to ensure those behind the attack are swiftly apprehended and normalcy restored.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, equipping security personnel, and dismantling criminal networks threatening the nation’s peace and stability.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he added.

The President also appealed to residents of the affected communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing credible and timely intelligence that would aid security operations.

“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he said.

The directive followed Monday’s early morning attack on Naridon Village, which reportedly claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children, while several houses were destroyed.

Condemning the incident, Tinubu described the assault as a “barbaric and cowardly attack” on innocent citizens, calling it an unprovoked act of terror against defenceless people.

He assured Nigerians that those responsible would be brought to justice, stressing that individuals or groups seeking to undermine the relative peace and security recently recorded in Kaduna State would face the full weight of the law.

The President also extended his condolences to the families of the victims, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and the people of Kaduna State.

He further assured the affected communities of the Federal Government’s support during this difficult period and reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to address security challenges across the country.
