President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for a three-week annual vacation in Europe, with London, United Kingdom, as his first destination.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom.”
Onanuga said the President is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the vacation and join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 general election.
“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” the statement added.
The President’s trip comes amid heightened political activities across the country, as political parties and prospective candidates intensify preparations for the 2027 elections.
The statement, however, did not provide details of Tinubu’s itinerary in London or indicate whether he would visit other European destinations during the vacation.
