A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kolawole Lawal Mobolorunduro (KLM), has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a significant asset to both Ogun State and Nigeria.
Lawal, who represented Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023, said Adeola possesses the experience, leadership capacity and political influence required to consolidate on the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
In a statement personally signed by him, the former lawmaker expressed confidence that Adeola would secure broad support across the state, citing his impressive performance in public office and growing popularity among the people.
According to Lawal, Adeola has distinguished himself through impactful representation, delivering projects and interventions that have benefited not only his constituents but also residents across Ogun State.
“As a senator, he has demonstrated exceptional commitment to public service, regardless of political affiliation, through interventions in agriculture, healthcare, education, road infrastructure and other critical sectors that have positively impacted the state’s development,” he said.
Lawal added that Adeola would be well positioned to sustain and expand the developmental strides of the Abiodun administration, noting that the current government’s development agenda provides a strong foundation for continuity and accelerated economic growth.
He further stated that Adeola’s emergence on the Ogun political scene has redefined public expectations of elected representatives by proving that political office can be effectively used to drive meaningful development.
“Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s entry into Ogun politics has changed the narrative. It has shown that the political class can genuinely improve the lives of the people through purposeful and committed leadership,” Lawal said.
He noted that since joining Ogun politics in 2023 after an accomplished political career in Lagos State, Adeola has continued to raise the standard of representation by extending the dividends of democracy beyond Ogun West Senatorial District.
Describing the senator as a progressive and visionary leader, Lawal said Adeola combines administrative experience with an extensive political network that would be invaluable in leading Ogun State.

Expressing optimism about Adeola’s electoral prospects, Lawal maintained that the senator’s record of performance, political pedigree and strong national relationships place him ahead of other contenders.
“Considering his achievements, experience, relationships with key political figures across the country and his proven leadership credentials, I believe Senator Adeola remains the leading contender for the Ogun State governorship in 2027,” he added.
