Spain dominated the individual honours at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with midfielder Rodri crowned the tournament’s best player after inspiring La Roja to their second world title.
Rodri, who featured in all eight matches, controlled Spain’s midfield throughout the competition and won the adidas Golden Ball after playing a pivotal role in the team’s historic triumph. Spain also became the first World Cup champions to concede just one goal throughout an entire tournament.
Despite France’s fourth-place finish following a defeat to England in the third-place play-off, Kylian Mbappé secured the adidas Golden Boot after scoring 10 goals in eight matches to finish as the tournament’s top scorer.
Spain also claimed the Golden Glove, with goalkeeper Unai Simón keeping seven clean sheets in eight appearances, while teenage defender Pau Cubarsí was named FIFA’s Best Young Player.
The Netherlands received the FIFA Fair Play Award for their exemplary conduct during the tournament.
