The Lagos State Police Command has intercepted a truck conveying 47 sacks of military camouflage uniforms and 80 cartons of suspected illicit substances during an intelligence-driven operation along the Lekki-Epe corridor.
Addressing journalists on Tuesday at the command headquarters in Ikeja, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, disclosed that the truck was allegedly transporting the military uniforms to the South-East region of the country.
The police commissioner further revealed that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the operation. He said the suspects are currently assisting investigators as efforts continue to uncover and apprehend those responsible for the importation and distribution of the items.
