Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former governors Babatunde Fashola and Kayode Fayemi, and other prominent Nigerians attended the funeral service for Anthony Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
The service was held on Thursday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Anthony, a businessman, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 62.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family by Rev. C. A. Adeosun, the deceased was described as a devoted Christian who positively impacted the lives of those around him.
Among the dignitaries who attended the service were Osinbajo and his wife; Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State; Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State; and Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
Also in attendance were former President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, and the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji, among other dignitaries.
Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi; his children; and his siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
Following the church service, the family proceeded with the private burial of the deceased.
