A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kolawole Lawal Mobolorunduro (KLM), has described the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a huge blessing to the state and the country.

between 2019 and 2023, said Adeola possesses the experience, influence and leadership capacity to build on the achievements of Governor Dapo Abiodun if elected governor in 2027.
In a statement personally signed by him, the former lawmaker expressed confidence that Adeola would enjoy widespread support across Ogun State, citing his performance in public office and growing political appeal.
“As a senator, he has performed exceptionally well for his constituents and beyond, irrespective of political affiliation, through interventions in agriculture, healthcare, education, road infrastructure and other critical sectors that have contributed to the state’s development,” Lawal said.
He added that Adeola would also benefit from the foundation laid by Governor Abiodun, saying the existing development blueprint provides a platform for continuity and further economic growth.
According to Lawal, Adeola’s emergence in Ogun politics has reshaped the state’s political landscape and demonstrated that elected representatives can deliver meaningful development to their constituents.
“Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s entry into Ogun politics has changed the narrative. It shows that the political class can bring development to the people when there is genuine commitment,” he said.
Lawal noted that since joining Ogun politics in 2023 after a successful political career in Lagos, Adeola has raised the standard of representation by extending the dividends of democracy beyond his Ogun West Senatorial District.
He also described the senator as a progressive leader with the experience and political network required to lead the state.
“I can attest to Senator Adeola’s dynamic and progressive ideas. His emergence has presented Ogun State with a strong and capable leader who possesses the political experience and leadership qualities needed to serve as governor in 2027,” he said.
Expressing optimism about the APC candidate’s chances, Lawal said Adeola’s track record, political pedigree and national influence would make him the preferred choice of Ogun voters.
“Considering his achievements, experience, relationships with key political figures across the country and his leadership credentials, I believe Senator Adeola remains the leading contender for the Ogun State governorship in 2027,” he added.
