Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, as part of efforts to make refined petroleum products more affordable.
Under the new pricing structure, the ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced by N50, from N1,215 per litre to N1,165 per litre, while diesel now sells at N1,570 per litre, down from N1,650, representing a reduction of N80 per litre.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the refinery said the price adjustment was aimed at improving energy affordability, expanding access to refined petroleum products, and supporting economic activities across the country.
The company said the move underscores its commitment to supplying affordable, high-quality petroleum products to the Nigerian market while ensuring stable product availability.
It added that the refinery would continue to leverage operational efficiencies to deliver value to consumers, businesses, and other stakeholders, passing on the benefits whenever market conditions permit.
According to the statement, the refinery remains committed to strengthening Nigeria’s energy security by reducing dependence on imported fuel and supporting economic growth through the supply of world-class petroleum products.
“The price review reflects Dangote Refinery’s ongoing efforts to enhance energy affordability, improve access to refined petroleum products, and support economic activities across Nigeria,” the statement said.
